How it works

Participating is completely free and very easy. Not only is Open Farm doing good by farm animals and family farms by using proteins, fruits, and veggies that are raised naturally, responsibly, and humanely, they’ve also taken their commitment to doing good by the planet one step further.

What you can recycle in this program

Program accepted waste: Open Farm pet food packaging

Best practices for recycling

In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure all excess product has been removed (i.e. leftover pet food). Additionally, if you choose to rinse your product, please note that it must be completely dry prior to shipping. You cannot ship dripping packages.

What happens to the waste

Once collected, the pet food packaging is shredded and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.

Rewards

TerraCycle Points

TerraCycle points can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts, product bundles, or a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. To learn more about our points program, click here.
