Important Update to the Packaging Multi-Stream Brigade
TerraCycle is excited to announce the addition of the Hot Cereal, Baby Food Pouch, and MOM Brands Cereal Bag Brigade waste streams.
As of April 1st, you may begin sending in your hot cereal pouches and plastic cereal bags and liners, as well as your baby food pouches and baby food pouch caps through the Packaging Multi-Stream Brigade.
The Packaging Multi-Stream Brigade® allows you to collect a range of waste streams without having to separate the waste (as with TerraCycle's traditional collection programs). There are no signup or participation fees, and the shipping is free. Once you have joined the Packaging Multi-Stream Brigade, simply follow the steps below to recycle your waste and receive your TerraCycle points.
How it works:
- Join this Brigade.
- Download the Points Request Form to see what is accepted in this program.
- Collect the authorized waste streams without the need for separation. Record what you've collected on the Points Request Form .
- Once your box is full download or request a return UPS shipping label via the “SHIP YOUR WASTE TO US” button located on your account page. If you request that a UPS shipping label to be sent to you, TerraCycle will send you the UPS return shipping label and the Points Request Form. Please remember to include the Points Request Form with your shipment or it will not be credited and your shipment may be returned to you.
- Ship the box to TerraCycle by affixing the pre-paid postage label and dropping it off at a UPS location.
- TerraCycle will process your shipment and credit your account for the total number of waste units collected and points earned. Please note, that your points will be credited under the Packaging Multi-Stream Brigade on your account.
- TerraCycle will separate the waste you collected and then either reuse, upcycle or recycle the waste into new products.
- Each shipment must contain more than 200 total pieces of waste.
- Each shipment must include a completed Points Request Form.
- Beauty products and packaging such as any personal care or beauty product packaging including, but not limited to, lipstick cases, shampoo bottles, powder cases, etc. Nail polish bottles, hairspray and deodorant cans are NOT acceptable.
- Cleaning packaging such as any Method refill laundry, dish or handwash pouch, cap or trigger.
- Diaper packaging such as any brand of outer plastic packaging on diaper products.
- Lunch kit packaging of any brand, excluding the cardboard.
- Dropps laundry detergent pouches.
- Oral care packaging such as any brand of toothpaste tubes, toothbrushes, and floss containers.
- Plastic tape dispensers and plastic tape cores.
- Baby food pouches and baby food pouch caps.
- Hot cereal pouches.
- Plastic cereal bags and plastic cereal bag liners.
Please note: Waste received through the Packaging Multi-Stream Brigade is worth half of the donation from the standard TerraCycle Brigade. For example, each lunch kit you send to TerraCycle via the Packaging Multi-Stream Brigade is worth 1 point instead of 2.
