The preferred duration of the internship is May 28th to August 15th with an expected minimum of 20 hours per week. However, each internship can be customized, and the duration can vary on a case to case basis. Though, students seeking college credit must adhere to their educational institution’s internship requirements.
Although the internship is unpaid, we provide a bountiful lunch every day, an educational experience with interdepartmental lectures so that you can learn about all aspects of TerraCycle’s operations and business management in general, and regular intern events including company parties. In the previous year, TerraCycle had over 100 interns from top colleges, law schools and business schools. It’s a dynamic and highly charged entrepreneurial environment. TerraCycle will offer recommendations upon successful completion of the internship. Due to the company’s eco-focus, some schools, including Princeton, provide a stipend and possible credit for their students to work at TerraCycle, so please check with your school for any support.
We seek individuals who can easily adapt to our fast-paced environment and show the necessary focus to complete projects in a short amount of time while maintaining the initiative and independence to complete other tasks that may not necessary have rigid guidelines or a set deadline.
