Last year, Garnier® and TerraCycle® transformed over 1,500 pounds of recycled personal care waste into a complete one-of-a-kind Garnier Green Garden in Harlem. The garden is not only beautiful to look at, with picnic tables and raised garden beds, but it intends to produce over 2,000 lbs of food for community residents.
Now it's your turn to win a community garden
TerraCycle and Garnier are giving you the chance to have a Garnier Green Garden built in your local community! Tell us about a deserving organization in your area that would benefit from this incredible opportunity.
Between November 1 and December 31, you can nominate an organization in your community that you feel deserves a Garnier Green Garden. Then, in early spring, TerraCycle and Garnier will announce five finalists and open the floor to public voting. The finalist who earns the most votes will win the Garnier Green Garden.
To nominate your community organization, click on the button below. Your entry must include the following information:
- Your full name and contact information
- The name, location, and contact information of the organization being nominated
- A brief description of why this organization deserves a Garnier Green Garden
In Spring 2014, five finalists will be chosen from the nominations submitted during the entry phase. Each finalist will be voted on during the public voting phase. The winning organization will be announced after Earth Month.
The winning organization will be donated a Garnier Green Garden for the immediate community. The Garden will include the following features:
- 100% completely recycled materials
- Designated areas for garden plants
- Rest and seating areas
- Beautiful and practical design and landscaping
All eligible participating locations are subject to the 2014 Garnier Green Garden Contest Rules.
