Your Brigade location must be a college or university and you must be a collector in the Personal Care & Beauty Brigade to participate. Visit the Brigade page to join today.

To win, your college or university must be one of the top ten collectors from April through May. Take advantage of the end of the semester and your school's campus cleanout by recycling all the hair care, skin care, and cosmetic waste. We've provided some tips below that can help you turn this into a fun and easy experience.

TerraCycle Tip #1: If you live in a dormitory, residence hall, or campus house, set up a collection bin on each floor and email residents about recycling their hair care, skin care, and cosmetic packaging in your bin(s).

TerraCycle Tip #2: Green campus organizations may be excited to take part in this simple recycling effort. You can even volunteer to show up at a weekly meeting and collect their waste from their members at the meeting right then and there.

TerraCycle Tip #3: Know the accepted waste. You may not realize all of the types of waste that may be sent through this Brigade, so download the Personal Care & Beauty Brigade Accepted Waste Poster and share this resource with everyone who is contributing to your collections.

TerraCycle Tip #4: Just remember, larger shipments of waste are more efficient and environmentally-friendly. And to earn regular Brigade points through the points program, you must send in shipments containing more than 12 lbs of accepted waste.

If you are one of the 10 top collecting colleges or universities, you will be rewarded with 10,000 bonus TerraCycle points.

All eligible schools are subject to The Dorm Cleanup Contest Rules.
