We’ve made getting started with the Havaianas Free Recycling Program easy! Simply download a free shipping label from the Havaianas website, send your Havaianas thongs to TerraCycle, and we’ll recycle them.

No, you do not need to clean your Havaianas thongs before dropping them off at a Hub or shipping for recycling. Please note that Australia Post and Hubs will not accept dripping items, so please make sure your they are dry.

All Havaianas branded rubber thongs can be recycled through the program.
This program does not accept:
- Other brands of thongs
- Havaianas fabric strap thongs
- Havaianas vegan leather strap thongs
Discover Our Recycling Process
Once sent in, your thongs will be sent to TerraCycle to be given a second life! They will be collected at the TerraCycle warehouse, then sent for processing where they will be crumbed into new raw material. This material can then be used for the creation of things like soft fall matting for playgrounds.
