Recycle your waste with Australia Post.
Australia Post has joined with TerraCycle® to provide a second life for used Prepaid Mailing Satchels and Padded Satchels through the Mailing Satchel Recycling Program.
NEW MINIMUM SHIPMENT SIZE TO EARN TERRACYCLE POINTS
To ensure the program is as efficient and environmentally friendly as possible, we'll be introducing a new minimum shipment size to qualify for TerraCycle points through the Australia Post Mailing Satchel Recycling Program.
As of April 1, 2018, each shipment of used mailing satchels will need to be a minimum of 7 kilograms to earn TerraCycle points.
Thanks for your support and happy recycling!
Participating is completely free and very easy.
When you are ready to send in a shipment, download a shipping label from your TerraCycle account by clicking “Request a postage label” and follow the prompts. Print out your label and tape it securely onto your box. Ship the box to TerraCycle by dropping it off at your nearby post office.
Program accepted waste: Prepaid Mailing Satchels & Padded Mailing Satchels
To make recycling even easier, Australia Post's satchels now include the Australian Recycling Label (ARL), an easy-to-understand label that indicates the satchel's recyclability and helps you learn more about mailing satchel recycling. To find out more about the Australian Recycling Label, click here.
In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure all excess product has been removed (i.e. letters & mail).
Once collected, the mailing satchels are cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products. Click here for more information on the recycling process.
TerraCycle points can be redeemed for a payment of $0.02 per unit received to the non-profit organisation or school of your choice.
