Roast and Return Coffee Capsule Composting Program - FAQ

Compost participating coffee brands' compostable coffee capsules through this program.

This program only accepts Green Barista and Di Stefano compostable coffee capsules.

You do not need to wash out the capsules to send them for recycling. During the processing the coffee grounds and capsules will be composted at our end. Squeeze excess liquid from your capsules and ensure they are completely dry and sealed in a plastic bag before placing them in your collection box.

All postage costs are paid for by Mad Coffee.

After you have joined the Roast and Return Coffee Capsule Composting program, you may print a free, pre-paid shipping label by logging into your account and clicking on "Profile" in the top right corner of the page.

Your profile page will list each of the programs you've joined so far. Simply select "Get Shipping Label" next to the relevant program, and follow the prompts to have a shipping label sent to your email address.

In order to recycle this waste stream properly, squeeze excess liquid from your capsules and ensure they are completely dry and sealed in a plastic bag before placing them in your collection box. This is to avoid dripping packages and help ensure your collections arrive safely.
