Recycle Tide, Downy and Gain Eco-Box packaging through this program.
The lighter, eco-friendly design of the Tide Eco-Box now includes Downy & Gain! To keep the plastic components out of landfills and oceans, P&G and TerraCycle® created a national recycling program for all Tide, Downy & Gain Eco-Box packaging.
Clean clothes, clean planet!
Participating is simple and free.
Once you have joined the program and are ready to send in a shipment, download a shipping label by clicking the green "Ship us your waste" box above and follow the prompts. Your shipping label will be emailed to your inbox. Print out your label and tape it securely onto your box then call UPS at 1-800-742-5877 to schedule a next-day pickup.
All Eco-Box products and packaging from Tide, Downy and Gain, including plastic components such as dispensing cups, flexible plastic bags, nozzles, and nozzle clips
NOTE: Please do not send in the cardboard boxes with your shipments, as these are typically recyclable through regular municipal recycling.
We encourage you to ship when your box is full of Tide, Downy and Gain Eco-Box packaging to minimize the transportation carbon footprint for this program. You don’t need to clean the packaging before sending it to TerraCycle, but please remove as much of the remaining product as possible (i.e. leftover detergent). UPS will not accept dripping packages, so please make sure your items are dry.
Once collected, the Eco-Box packaging is cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products, such as park benches and picnic tables. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.
Shipments in the P&G Eco-Box Recycling Program can be any weight to earn points, and 100 points per pound will be awarded.
Awarded TerraCycle points can be allocated toward a variety of charitable gifts or redeemed as a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. Each piece of Eco-Box packaging sent in will earn approximately 5 TerraCycle points and will be counted based on an average unit weight of 22.67 grams.
