This map is constantly being updated

View all participating public drop-off locations on the interactive map above.

A public drop-off location is a communal collection point where the public can take their TerraCycle waste for recycling. Each public drop-off location is listed on the interactive map above. When you drop off your waste at a public drop-off location, the TerraCycle points earned for the waste are transferred to the account of the public drop-off location administrator in question, who can then donate the points to the charity of their choice.

Before you go to a public drop-off location with your waste, we advise you check the details (full address, opening hours and location of collection box at the site) and when a telephone number is listed it’s worth calling just to ensure the collection point is still active.

This map is updated when new public drop-off locations are added or removed, so we recommend you consult it in advance of each time you plan to drop off your waste.

If you are interested in setting up a public drop-off location for your community, please fill out this form.
You don't have to become a public drop-off location to send us your waste. You can become a private collector simply by joining the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme.

How it works

The Air and Home Care Recycling Programme is currently full. Thanks to the interactive map, you can find the closest public drop-off location by simply entering your post code in the search bar. Then you just have to drop your air freshener and home care waste at the address indicated during business hours. The person in charge of the public drop-off location will send the air freshener and home care waste to TerraCycle® for recycling.

What you can recycle in this programme

New waste accepted in this programme:

  • All brands and sizes of flexible dishwasher tablets packaging
  • All brands and sizes of flexible laundry washing capsules and pods packaging
  • All brands and sizes of tinted fabric conditioner bottles and caps

Please come back to this page soon for further information.

At TerraCycle we strive to develop effective recycling solutions for items that are not widely recyclable at a local level. On the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme we accept a range of air and home care products such as bottle caps, which consist of a mix of different materials and are not covered by nationwide recycling schemes. In order to make the recycling process as effective as possible we do not however accept plastic bottles, as these can be recycled through most local council collections.

Best practices for recycling

In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure all excess product has been removed (i.e. cleaning product). Additionally, if you choose to rinse your product, please note that it must be completely dry prior to shipping. You cannot ship dripping packages.

What happens to the waste

Once collected, the air care and home cleaning product packaging is cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.

Earn points for the waste you recycle

TerraCycle points can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts or a payment of £0.01 to the non-profit organisation of your choice. For more information about our points programme, click here.

Below you will find posters, social media icons, and an editable letter to hand out to local businesses. The letter is targeted at cleaning companies, coffee shops, cafes and the like, and outlines the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme. The letter is asking others to save their Air and Home Care packaging to help raise your collections.
