Recycle all your baby food pouches, kids yogurt pouches, pouch caps and Ella’s Kitchen® snack packets altogether
Danone is one of 2 brands partnering with TerraCycle® as part of The Kids Food Pouch Recycling Programme. This page is for all members of the programme who will send all brands of kids' food pouches they've collected to TerraCycle®.
If you are not currently registered on the programme, then please find your nearest public drop-off location to drop off your all brands of baby food pouches, kids yogurt pouches, pouch caps and Ella’s Kitchen® snack packets using the interactive map displayed on The Kids Food Pouch Recycling Programme page.
When you are ready to send a parcel, please follow these steps:
For more information on how to prepare and send your parcel, check out our step-by-step video guide here. Please note, you can pack all brands of baby food pouches, kids yogurt pouches, pouch caps and Ella’s Kitchen® snack packets together in your parcel without having to sort or separate the waste.
Please check out our Accepted Waste Poster below for more details.
Make sure all excess product has been removed (i.e. food residue) and place all baby food pouches, kids yogurt pouches, pouch caps and Ella’s Kitchen® snack packets in a cardboard box. Tape the box closed securely ensuring there are no loose edges or corners. Print your label and attach it securely to the shipment.
Once collected, your empty baby food pouches, kids yogurt pouches, pouch caps and Ella’s Kitchen® snack packets are separated by polymer type and cleaned (if necessary). The material is then extruded into plastic pellets to make new recycled products.
This programme offers 100 TerraCycle® points per kilogram of baby food pouches, kids yogurt pouches, pouch caps and Ella’s Kitchen® snack packets sent. However, the points will only be awarded if the parcel reaches the minimum weight of 8 kilograms.
For example:
1 kilogram = 0 TerraCycle® points
8 kilograms = 800 TerraCycle® points
12 kilograms = 1,200 TerraCycle® points
Please note that TerraCycle® points are credited to the accounts of public drop-off location administrators as a reward for their collection efforts. The number of points given is determined by the weight of the parcel. 1 TerraCycle® point is worth 1 penny.
Once credited, the points can be redeemed into financial donations to the charity or school chosen by the owner of the points.
