The L’Occitane® Recycling Programme - FAQ

Anyone based in mainland UK or the Isle of Wight can participate in our recycling programmes. Unfortunately people based in the following locations cannot participate at this time: the Hebrides, Isle of Mann, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Jersey or Guernsey. This is due to logistical reasons but please be assured the TerraCycle® Operations Team are looking into solutions for us to provide free recycling programmes in these locations in the future. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Anyone can participate in the programme by dropping off their L'OCCITANE EN PROVENCE® packaging in a collection box at one of the participating stores. The list of participating stores is on our interactive map that you can access on the programme page.

The following types of beauty and skin care packaging are accepted in the programme: 

• Aluminium packaging
• Travel Size Packaging
• Caps and Closures
• Refill Pouches
• Flexible Plastic Tubes
• Rigid Plastic Tubes

Please note that the following types of beauty and skin care packaging are not accepted in the programme:

• Aerosols
• Glass Bottles
• Glass Tubes
• Glass Moisturiser Jars

You will not need to send your beauty and skin care packaging to TerraCycle®​ yourself.

instead, simply find your closest participating L'Occitane en Provence® store and drop-off your used beauty and skin care products in the relevant collection box during your next visit. The L'Occitane en Provence® store will then send the packaging to TerraCycle®.

Once received by TerraCycle®, your beauty and skin care packaging is sorted and separated by material composition. The separated items are then cleaned, shredded, and made into new recycled products. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.

You can drop off your packaging anytime a participating store is open. You can check the opening hours of the stores on our interactive map.

If you return a product from any beauty brand to any of the participating L'Occitane® stores, you will receive 10%* off a full-size item of your choice.
