Anyone based in mainland UK or the Isle of Wight can participate in our recycling programmes. Unfortunately people based in the following locations cannot participate at this time: the Hebrides, Isle of Man, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Jersey or Guernsey. This is due to logistical reasons but please be assured the TerraCycle® Operations Team are looking into solutions for us to provide free recycling programmes in these locations in the future. We apologise for any inconvenience.

To participate simply check the public Hub and Spoke location map to find your nearest collection point.

  2. Any size of Tassimo T-Disc
  3. Any L’OR coffee capsules
  4. Kenco Eco Refill packs
  5. Kenco plastic coffee jar lids

For this programme a fixed number of points will be allocated per full pallet container. Unlike our other programmes which establish an average weight, your account will be credited based on 1 full pallet container. Each full pallet container returned to TerraCycle will be awarded 8,900 points. Each TerraCycle point can be redeemed for a payment of £0.01 to the UK based charity or school of your choice. TerraCycle points will be credited on a monthly basis for any pallet container of Tassimo waste and L'OR capsules received. 

Once the Hub location outdoor pallet container is full (holds around 150 kg of waste) you call TerraCycle on 0800 0470 984 to arrange a collection. For each full container of Tassimo waste you receive £89 worth of charity points.

Please note that every time a collection for a full pallet of Tassimo and L'OR waste is arranged a document called Waste Transfer Note needs to be created for compliance purposes regarding the transportation of used coffee discs to bring our activities in line with Environment Agency rules. As this document would need a signature from you, please let us know whether you are happy for us to sign it on your behalf or rather sign it yourself and send us a scanned or digitally signed version.

This document needs to be kept on file for 2 years, but realistically TerraCycle is the only party that would be subject to audit by Environment Agency and in the unlikely case of you needing it, we would be able to supply you with a copy.

No, our service is completely free! Once you request a collection with TerraCycle, our supplier will come to collect your pallet container which will bring your Tassimo waste and L'OR capsules collections back to our facility to be recycled into new products. You win, we win, and the environment wins!

Yes. In the Tassimo® & L'OR® Recycling Programme you need to send back a pallet container within 6 months of registration. If you are inactive for over 6 months during any other time you will be removed to enable someone that is on the waiting list to join the programme.

Yes. You can select or change the charity through the TerraCycle website. Simply log into your account at and click on "my account". Then select the “my charities” tab through your account and select “add new charity” to fill out all necessary charity information. Please note: Whichever charity you have listed on your account on April 30th and October 31st will be the beneficiary of the funds earned on your account.
