Important!

For this recycling programme we offer public drop-off locations exclusively for collectors based in Northern Ireland. Please note that everyone still has the opportunity to become a private collector on this programme.

We do not provide collection boxes for private collectors or public drop-off locations for this programme.

This map is constantly being updated

View all participating public drop-off locations on the interactive map above.

A public drop-off location is a communal collection point where the public can take their TerraCycle® waste for recycling. Each public drop-off location is listed on the interactive map above. When you drop off your waste at a public drop-off location, the TerraCycle points earned for the waste are transferred to the account of the public drop-off location administrator in question, who can then donate the points to the charity of their choice.

Before you go to a public drop-off location with your waste, we advise you check the details (full address, opening hours and location of collection box at the site) and when a telephone number is listed it’s worth calling just to ensure the collection point is still active.

This map is updated when new public drop-off locations are added or removed, so we recommend you consult it in advance of each time you plan to drop off your waste.

If you are interested in setting up a public drop-off location for your community, please fill out this form.

You don't have to become a public drop-off location to send us your waste. You can become a private collector simply by joining The Tayto® Recycling Programme.

How it works

Participating is completely free and very easy.

When you want to post a shipment, download a free UPS label from your account, attach it to your shipment and then simply order a free pick-up via UPS by calling 03457 877 877 or book a collection online here. UPS will then collect from your location. You can also drop-off your parcel at your closest UPS drop-off point, which you can find here

What you can recycle in this programme

Best practices for recycling

So we can recycle this waste properly - and in common with other household recycling - we would ask you to properly empty your packaging before placing them in a box. Tape the box together securely ensuring there are no loose edges or corners. Print your label and attach it securely to the shipment.

What happens to the waste

Once collected, your Tayto® crisp and snack packaging is cleaned and extruded into plastic pellets to make new recycled products. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.

Rewards

Earn points for the waste you recycle

TerraCycle points can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts or a payment of £0.01 to the non-profit organisation of your choice. For more information about our points programme, click here.

1 unit = 1 Tayto® crisp or snack packet

To earn TerraCycle® points, you need to send minimum 200 units (1 kg) which will be rewarded with 1 point per unit.

Please weigh your shipment before sending it, because the weight depends on the type of crisp and snack packets you are sending.

Resources
