Retail Account Manager (GERMANY-focused), Loop Europe

We are looking for an outgoing, polished, highly organized, team-focused Retail Account Manager to work with our retailer partners on bringing them on board TerraCycle’s newest line of business, Loop, focused on selling consumer goods in durable, reusable packaging.


In conjunction with several of the largest and most prominent consumer products companies in the world, TerraCycle is advancing an international initiative advancing the future of packaging. This initiative is a groundbreaking step towards the end of single-use disposable materials and the beginning of a circular economy for the consumer goods industry. This program is launching in early 2019 in both France and the US. Loop is then expanding into Germany in 2020 among other markets globally.

We are hiring this Retail Account Manager as one of the first full-time staff members at our London office. This role will also spend substantial working out of our retailer offices. We are looking for someone who is passionate about innovation and has extensive experience working for and/or with retailers. The Retail Account Manager will play a critical role in developing and growing Loop’s partnership with retailers focused on moving away from a disposable consumer good supply chain to a durable consumer good supply chain.

The position will require project management, communication, and organizational skills, along with an understanding of how retailers operate, strong supply chain process background and e-commerce. Responsibilities will include both partner relations as well as general program support, and the successful applicant will be trained and highly successful in both capacities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in sustainability, retailer partner management/relationship building, program management and innovation.


  • Manage relationships with our retailers and project manage the involved team to develop a well-functioning durable supply chain with the retailer
  • Manage assigned projects and maintain tracking information
  • Communicate and formally present project updates and requirements to critical staff and accounts
  • Use your knowledge and experience in supply chain practices, and associated industries, to execute logistics studies and provide data and recommendations on the management of current and future supply chain issues.
  • Work with operations, demand planning, sales, and customers to give visibility of logistics cost of complexity and bring up solutions to meet customer needs while simplifying the supply chain and reducing cost.
  • Support the business with general project management
  • Perform all other related tasks and assignments


  • Have a degree in business, industrial engineering or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in German
  • 4+ years of professional experience.
  • Background in supply chain operations and retailer operations
  • Proven ability to assess and order priorities, juggle multiple tasks, and project manage

  • Salary commensurate with experience

  • Our office environment is very fast paced and every day is different. You’ll often be called into meetings with our CEO and be given ambitious goals with tight timelines. We have a colorful and inspiring open office space made with recycled materials and an open courtyard in the center where we often have meetings and lunch (sometimes at the same time). Dress code is relaxed and informal.
