ZURU Bunch O Balloons™ Recycling Programme

Recycle your used Bunch O Balloons™ stems, balloon pieces and packaging through this programme!

Celebrate sustainably with Bunch O Balloons™ - now recyclable through TerraCycle

The ZURU Bunch O Balloons™ Recycling Programme will close on October 1, 2021 with shipping labels no longer available after 30 September.

Good news - you can continue to recycle balloons through our All-In-One Zero Waste Box™. It’s easy and super convenient!

TerraCycle and ZURU have partnered to create a free recycling programme for used Bunch O Balloons™ stems, balloon pieces and balloon packaging.

Once you've finished using your Bunch O Balloons™ products, refer to our accepted waste and send to us for recycling.

How it works

Participating in your home, office, school or organisation is completely free and very easy.

Create a free TerraCycle account online and join the Bunch O Balloons™ Recycling Programme. Collect your used Bunch O Balloons™ products and packaging in any box. When you are ready to send a shipment, download a shipping label from your TerraCycle account by clicking “Request a postage label” and follow the prompts. Print out your label and tape it securely onto your box. Ship the box to TerraCycle by dropping it off at your nearby post office.

What you can recycle in this programme

This program accepts the following items only:

  • Bunch O Balloons™ Water and Party foilbag packaging as shown above
  • Bunch O Balloons™ Water and Party balloons (including rubber bands on water balloons/ribbons on party balloons)
  • Bunch O Balloons™ plastic fill stems from Water and Party range (including plastic cap on water balloon stems)
  • Bunch O Balloons™ plastic helium and water hose adaptors

Please do not include the following in your collections:

  • Bunch O Balloons™ pumps or water accessories/blasters (such as Launchers/Slingshots or XShot water blasters)
  • Cardboard and/or blister plastic from Bunch O Balloons™ packaging
  • Other brands of balloons, foilbags, stems, stem caps, ribbons or rubber bands

What happens to the waste

Once collected, the waste is sorted and cleaned. The latex is cryo-milled and pulverised into a fine powder which can be further used in manufacturing. The plastic components are melted into pellets that can be remoulded to make new recycled products. Click here for more information about our recycling process.
