Trade in old car seat for discount on new one at Target

As part of a recycling program, parents can trade in old car seats at Target to receive a discount on a new one. From Sept. 10 to 23, most Target stores (excluding small-format stores) will accept car seats to be recycled. In turn, guests will receive a 20 percent off coupon, good for the purchase of a new car seat, including booster seats, car seat bases and travel systems. Target had its first car seat trade-in in April. The company says it collected over 1 million pounds of car seat material, which was then recycled into dozens of new products.
