Shoppers Drug Mart is launching a free recycling program with its Quo Beauty Cosmetics line and a partnership with TerraCycle to support the program.
The recycling program is intended to introduce customers to a recycling solution for their empty beauty products.
“As we work to ensure all control brand packaging is recyclable or reusable by 2025, we continue to look for new and innovative ways to eliminate the use of single-use plastics for all product packaging,” said Pat Dean, senior vice president, category management, Shoppers Drug Mart. “We are proud to partner with TerraCycle as the first major retailer to offer a recycling program for a private label color cosmetics line, offering more sustainable choices to Canadians and reducing our impact on the planet.”

The Peterson Farms Treats Applesauce Pouch Free Recycling Program offers schools and households a convenient recycling solution for the pouches, which are not typically accepted through curbside recycling services.
