The fight against litter and plastic pollution is coming to a town near you, thanks to the millions1 of Americans dedicated to finding local solutions to the global waste crisis. In honor of National CleanUp Day, the nation’s largest single-day cleanup event that mobilizes volunteers across the country to pick up litter in their communities, TerraCycle® is inviting participants to take action and use the company’s recycling solutions to keep hard-to-recycle waste out of landfills and incinerators.

The good news is you can give most of your baby products a new life, either by donating them or giving them to special recycling programs. The effort will keep items out of the landfill and lessen the production of new products, and it doesn’t need to be time-consuming.

This includes a one-and-done attitude toward purchasing new supplies, like a sturdy watering can that lets you meet your little sprouts' hydration needs while making very little impact on the environment. One way to do that is to focus on watering cans made of biodegradable and/or recyclable stuff like ceramic, steel, and even post-consumer recycled materials.
