Recycling remains an important tool for reducing waste, but many plastics never enter the recycling system due to collection challenges, contamination, and economics. Items such as snack wrappers and other flexible packaging are often left out of curbside programs despite being recyclable. TerraCycle helps address this gap by working with brands to collect and recycle hard-to-recycle materials that traditional systems leave behind, turning them into raw materials for new products. The broader conversation highlights the need for a combination of reduction, reuse, and expanded recycling solutions to keep more materials in use and out of landfills.
