In Canada, TerraCycle teamed up with Tweed to launch the country’s first nationwide cannabis packaging recycling program, diverting over 165,000 containers from landfills. These efforts support a more sustainable cannabis industry.

TerraCycle leads this effort by partnering with brands to recycle complex waste like toothpaste tubes and snack wrappers. In 2022, Fernway launched the East Coast’s first vaporizer recycling program, recovering materials such as surgical steel, cobalt, lithium, and nickel to safely reintroduce into the supply chain.
