erraCycle, a global leader of innovative sustainability solutions, has introduced CafeCycle, a national recycling solution that helps coffee shops and cafés recycle items that typically aren’t accepted by municipal recycling services. This includes used coffee bags, coffee capsules and packs, cups, stirrers, plastic bottles, snack wrappers, and more. With an estimated 500 billion disposable cups discarded globally each year—16 billion in the U.S. alone—most of which end up in landfills or incinerators—CafeCycle offers an easy and effective way for businesses to reduce waste.

It’s National Snack Food Month and Americans are reportedly snacking more than ever. While single-serving snacks are all the rage, an unfortunate side effect is that their packaging tends to end up in landfills and incinerators. This National Snack Food Month international recycling leader TerraCycle is asking snackers to put a wrap on throwing away snack and candy wrappers and instead recycle the waste.
Most wrappers are made from a mix of materials like polypropylene, aluminum foil, and paper that are not typically accepted by municipal recycling services. That’s why TerraCycle offers free and paid recycling solutions to keep multi-layer packaging, like chip bags, candy wrappers, and more out of the trash.
“Snack foods wrapped in single-use packaging are popular because they are convenient,” said Tom Szaky, Founder and CEO of TerraCycle. “That’s why we offer a variety of TerraCycle’s recycling solutions to make recycling easy and simple.”

So now, you can search among nearly 140 brands with individual recycling programs that I guarantee you will recognize.
