Recycle all brands of metal-based cookware, bakeware, and cutlery through this program.
Participating is simple and free.
All brands of metal-based* cookware, bakeware, and cutlery (*Nonstick Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Cast Iron).
NOTE: Please do not wrap items in paper, bubble wrap or other excess packaging. Non-compliant items interfere with the recycling process and can pose a safety hazard to our warehouse operations team. Keep knives separate and secured (sheathed if possible). Use the original box to hold the knives if available.
We encourage you to ship larger and less frequent shipments to minimize the transportation carbon footprint for this program to help the environment even more. Before shipping, please fill your collection box as much as possible, make sure it is tightly packed, and make sure your box is properly taped so that the seams and perimeters are securely sealed.
You don’t need to clean the items before sending them to TerraCycle. UPS will not accept dripping packages, so please make sure your items are dry.
Once collected, the metal-based cookware, bakeware, and cutlery are cleaned and separated by material. Metals are smelted and used to make new products, and any plastics are recycled into raw formats that manufacturers use in new production. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.
Shipments in the Calphalon® Cooking Tools Recycling Program can be any weight to earn points, and 100 points per pound will be awarded.
Awarded TerraCycle points can be allocated toward a variety of charitable gifts or redeemed as a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. Each piece of metal-based cookware, bakeware, and cutlery sent in will earn approximately 170 TerraCycle points and will be counted based on an average unit weight of 1.7 pounds.
