Best practices for recycling

Please restore your device to factory settings and remove any personal information prior to sending through this program. TerraCycle is not responsible for information on your devices; all information from electronics is removed, and hard drives will be removed and shredded.

What happens to the waste

Once collected, the electronic waste is shredded and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products. The metals are recovered in a smelting process. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.
