Recycling in partnership with RB
TerraCycle® and RB have partnered to create a national recycling program for packaging from all brands of vitamins, minerals, and supplements; cough, cold and flu medicine; sexual well-being, personal care, and foot care products; and infant formula and child nutrition.

How it works
Participating in this recycling program is free and rewarding.
BECOME A PUBLIC LOCATION
You can become a public drop-off point for the RB Health & Nutrition Recycling Program and build up the national recycling network! Businesses, colleges, preschools and daycares, municipalities, community organizations, gyms, and medical offices are encouraged to sign up. Please note that this program does not accept any prescription bottles for recycling.
If you become a local recycling solution for this program, individuals and community members have the opportunity to drop off their collections with you. You will be able to ship the packaging your location collects to TerraCycle for free and earn TerraCycle points for your shipments.
Remember: The more points you earn, the more you can redeem for a cash donation to the nonprofit, school, or charity of your choice.
What you can recycle
- Vitamins, minerals, and supplements packaging: blister packs, tubes, bottles, caps, lids, cans, boxes
- Sexual health and well-being packaging: tubes, bottles, caps, lids, wrappers, cans, boxes
- Cough, cold, flu, sore throat, and nasal care packaging: blister packs, tubes, bottles, spray bottles, caps, lids
- Infant formula and child nutrition packaging: tubs, bottles, caps, lids, cans, boxes
- Personal care and foot care packaging: tubes, bottles, caps, lids, plastic packaging
PLEASE NOTE: This program does NOT accept any prescription bottles for recycling.
Best practices for recycling
- Ensure all excess product liquids, such as medicines and topicals, have been removed.
- If you choose to rinse your products, note they must be completely dry prior to shipping. UPS will not accept dripping packages.
What happens to your recyclables
Once collected, the waste is broken down and separated by material. Plastics are cleaned and pelletized, and metals are melted down.
Rewards
Shipments in the RB Health & Nutrition Recycling Program must be at least 4 pounds to earn TerraCycle points. For all qualifying shipments, 100 points per pound will be awarded.
Awarded TerraCycle points can be allocated toward a variety of charitable gifts or redeemed as a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. Each piece of RB Health & Nutrition packaging sent in will earn approximately 5 TerraCycle points and will be counted based on an average unit weight of .05 pounds.
