Creative Residency at TerraCycle

Let’s collaborate! Join the Creative Residency at TerraCycle.

We are excited to launch our newly expanded artist in residency program - The Creative Residency at TerraCycle. 

This new opportunity is a trade-based program, based out of our Trenton, NJ headquarters office, that provides areas for art creation, materials for upcycling, and exhibition space for regional artists in exchange for work on projects for TerraCycle and our global offices. 

We also offer artists the option to display their work throughout our Headquarters office without taking part in the full residency program. Pieces that are on display can include sales information from the artist. When the piece sells from our site, TerraCycle requests that each artist donate 25% of the profit from the sale back to the TerraCycle Global Foundation.

What we offer

The Creative Residency program offers artists the opportunity to fulfill requests for creative projects in exchange for studio space, materials for upcycling, access to shared studio space, networking opportunities, and more. Creatives can also pitch their own concepts to the Creative Residency team!

Each project’s progress will be logged and approved to complete the work/space trade agreement.

Creatives provide

  • Create works onsite to be displayed at TerraCycle's office
  • Open dialogue with the Residency team and timely updates on project status
  • Adherence to TerraCycle’s mission by creating durable works, primarily made of upcycled materials, and using sustainably sourced materials whenever possible.
