Gamify Recycling with ReZound
Recycling never sounded so good!
How does it work?
The ReZound uses sensors that detect when a piece of waste goes by and triggers a sound from it's customizable sound bank.
How long does the battery last?
With two sensors plugged in the ReZound can keep detecting waste for up to 5 days before recharging!
How long does it take to recharge?
It takes about 8 hours to fully charge the ReZound
Can I customize the color or look of the ReZound?
At the moment, no. Only the sound files can be customized.
Can you customize the sound files for me?
Yes! If you purchase an order of 50 or more ReZounds we can create a custom sound bank for you. For smaller orders a small fee will apply. Reach out to Design@terracycle.com for pricing.
Can the ReZound detect if someone puts in something that's not recyclable?
At the moment, no. Since there are so many different types of waste, and in particular plastics, it's hard to tell what's what, but we hope to help detect glass, metal, and paper soon.
How does the ReZound help recycling?
The ReZound works off a concept called gamification that aims to make recycling fun. By turning recycling into a positive experience we can encourage people to recycle more.

Can I get a replacement part?
Yes! Replacement sensors and solar panels are available online at https://shop.terracycle.com/products/rezound-machine. For other parts like replacement adhesives, SD cards, or readers please reach out to design@terracycle.com
Does this work in my Zero Waste Box?
The ReZound is only recommended for the large Zero Waste Box. Smaller Zero Waste Boxes may cause detection issues.
Will this detect all types of waste?
The ReZound will detect anything larger than a bottle cap. Smaller items may require a smaller opening to direct the waste towards a sensor.
What bins is this compatible with?
The ReZound will fit inside any bin larger than 10" x 10" and can be used with a 1, 2, 3, or 4 opening bin, though it is recommended for 1 or 2 opening bins.
How do you install it?
The ReZound is easily installed with double-sided adhesives that securely stick to recycling bins without damaging them.
I plugged in the sensors, but no sound is playing / the ReZound isn't triggering when I put in waste
