Supply Chain Executive

Loop is the initiative that is bringing together the world’s largest consumer good companies, transportation companies, retailers as well as NGOs to provide durable/refillable packaging as a service to consumers across the world. LOOP will be launching in New York City and Paris after a global announcement taking place at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in January 2019. 

We are looking for a Supply Chain Executive to join the European team. This new way to transport, warehouse and distribute products to shoppers will be the engine of a breakthrough innovation on sustainability, defining a new way of dealing with waste.This person will work closely with an internal operation team, customers and vendors to bring these new products and supply chain to life.The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, pragmatic, problem solving mind and ideally a first experience in supply chain. She/he will be able to define key priorities and find the right resources to support the operation team to launch loop.

ROLE/ RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION

Product development

  • Execute the development and commercialization of Loop private label branded products.
  • Manage vendors required for package supply, product supply, filling/ labeling, cleaning and distribution of Loop products with the support of Loop Operations team.

Supply chain

  • Work with operations, demand planning, sales, and customers to give visibility of logistics costs and potential risks and bring up solutions to meet customer needs while simplifying the supply chain and reducing cost.

CATEGORIES OF WORK

Supply chain

  • Execute distribution strategy to have the platform fully working from the launch.
  • Manage the day to day supply chain execution, make sure deliveries, pickups, happen smoothly and track inventory to avoid being out of stock for any product.

Packaging

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to source back-up durable packaging to meet filling, labeling and cleaning criteria (negotiate pricing, MOQ’s, lead times etc).
  • Manage artwork creation for labeling and pack integration with private label co-packing vendors.

Product Selection and Filling

  • Source and negotiate terms with private label vendors and manage onboarding, including product selection/ range, pricing, MOQ’s and lead times for demand planning.
  • Manage the production side of the supply chain to make sure inventory is always positive.

Requirements/Skills 

  • French speaking
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, and/or demand planning field (transportation, warehousing, inventory planning, customer facing supply chain, e-commerce or manufacturing/operations performance) is preferred
  • Experience in CPG companies is preferred
  • Understanding of optimization tools and methodologies
  • Ability to independently assess problems and develop action plans for solutions
  • Ability to adapt and work quickly

Compensation:

  • Salary depending on experience
  • 25 Paid Holiday Days
  • Company Pension contribution up to 3% of salary
