Programme Development Executive (Fluent in English, Proficient in French)

TerraCycle is looking for a Programme Development Executive who will be responsible for supporting the TerraCycle Client Services and Business Development teams to identify and develop growth opportunities within TerraCycle’s existing partnerships. The position will be responsible for developing client-ready documents and proposals, templates, and tracking integration opportunities. As such, this is both an upsell and project management role in support of the Client Service team. The candidate will also be in charge of developing and implementing shopper marketing activities for TerraCycle clients.

Operating in 21 countries (including 12 in Europe), TerraCycle is a world leader in the recycling of generally non-recyclable waste, such as pens, snack wrappers, baby food pouches, beauty product packaging, home care product packaging and even the likes of cigarette butts or marine plastics. We create collection and recycling solutions systems for anything that would otherwise be sent to incineration or landfill. To achieve this objective, we partner with some of the most recognizable brands and retailers in the world, including BIC, L’Oréal, Procter & Gamble and JDE, amongst dozens of others.

The company seeks to hire a resourceful and driven Programme Development Executive with a strong emphasis on UK & France. This person will report to the Programme Development Manager and will work directly with dozens of key accounts.

The position is based in Perivale, West London and reports to the Programme Development Manager.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, a very strong interest in sales, a track record of successful project management, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fluid environment, is excited by a challenge, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with FMCG, sustainability, retail and/or marketing fields is beneficial.

Responsibilities for the position include:

  • Supporting the European client services team to identify growth opportunities
  • Identifying and pitching opportunities that drive incremental revenue and enhance TerraCycle partners’ current recycling programs
  • Creating client-ready customized proposals and resources
  • Developing and maintaining a library of case studies, templates, and resources
  • Supporting all the TerraCycle teams in the development and implementation of shopper marketing activities with brand partners (retail collections, in-store promotion etc.)
  • Identifying and developing new products & services to fulfil our brand partners’ expectations
  • Help the Client Services team to create detailed reporting for TerraCycle brand partners
  • Support the Programme Development Manager in identifying potential vendors to deliver incremental services.


  • Fluent in both French and English with excellent communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A strong interest in sales
  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to prioritise among competing tasks
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Ability to speak another European language would be beneficial but not essential
  • A demonstrated interest in sustainable/green business would be beneficial but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps etc.
  • A degree in an appropriate field (business, management, marketing…) or equivalent work experience is desired


  • Salary in line with experience. Please note that the advertised position is an entry-level job.
