Operations Business Support Associate

We are looking for an outgoing, polished, highly organized, team-focused Operations Business Support Associate to support our client service teams on implementing and executing TerraCycle’s international recycling programs.

About the role:

We are looking for an outgoing, polished, highly organized, team-focused Operations Business Support Associate to support our client service teams on implementing and executing TerraCycle’s international recycling programs. Primary responsibilities include developing pricing for TerraCycle sales staff, cost analysis and cost planning, facilitating internal processes, and creating operational efficiencies through management and analysis.

The successful applicant will be experienced and successful in cost analysis and working well with internal departments. In addition, this role offers international experience including direct support of TerraCycle teams across the Americas, EU, and Asia Pacific. 

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with TerraCycle’s Sponsored Waste, Zero Waste Box and Material Sales platforms to develop pricing for client facing proposals and work to make sure all contractual obligations are met
  • Develop an intimate working knowledge of TerraCycle’s recycling supply chains including vendor competencies, costs and overall efficiency.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise of vendors’ business, industry, competitors, etc.
  • Perform cost analysis to budget including monthly variance analysis
  • Prepare briefs, presentations and analyses of product performance, and make recommendations for continuing improvements.
  • Work directly with the Global Vice President of Operations on strategic initiatives to resolve operational challenges as they arise across all Global markets.
  • Support senior sales, operations and product development colleagues with ad hoc requests and in strategic and tactical planning.
  • Outline and manage implementation of new products, financial processes and operational initiatives.
  • Plan and lead internal and external reviews and strategy sessions to ensure that work is meeting client requirements and expectations.
  • Ensure consistency, quality and timeliness of deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Build and maintain project files and schedules for all projects.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Track record of success in business support or financial analysis
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to prepare clear and concise clientready documents
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate empathy and commitment to the business team with ability to manage expectations
  • High-energy team player
  • Interest in environmental sustainability
  • Must possess a balance of creative and analytical skills
