Creative Marketing Communications Associate

Responsibilities include creating and executing strategic marketing campaigns, drafting and designing digital communications, and developing tools and resources to support digital campaigns for all current and emerging lines of business. 

TerraCycle is the world leader in the collection and recycling of post-consumer waste that is generally considered “non-recyclable.”  In over 20 countries, we collect billions of pieces of waste, mostly made up of plastic packaging that is otherwise destined for landfill or incineration.  By collecting coherent waste streams (millions of chip bags, millions of drink pouches, millions of safety glasses, etc.), we are able to use third party facilities to recycle these waste streams into a format that can be used by third party manufacturers.

About the Role:

Within the Marketing department, we focus on consumer engagement to promote our recycling programs, connect with our fan base, and spread awareness of our environmental mission. Responsibilities include creating and executing strategic marketing campaigns, drafting and designing digital communications, and developing tools and resources to support digital campaigns for all current and emerging lines of business. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, and execute  digital, creative communication campaigns to support all of  TerraCycle’s  recycling platforms.
  • Implement digital marketing communication campaigns for Brand Partnerships in coordination with TerraCycle Account Managers.
  • Manage the domestic schedule of communications and deploy all email campaigns using our e-marketing communication service provider for all current and emerging lines of business.
  • Generate effective consumer surveys, and present analysis and results to Marketing Americas team and Account Managers.
  • Prepare and present the analysis of communications initiatives and determine effectiveness of strategic communication campaigns.
  • Write high-quality, on-target copy for a wide variety of mediums (i.e. email campaigns, print materials, displays) for a variety of end goals. 

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and engaging messaging.
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills.
  • Must be able to work within tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate examples of creativity (i.e. written, visual, digital).
  • Strong knowledge of digital communication and social media trends.
  • BA/BS required.
  • 1-3 years of experience.
