2020 Colgate® & Meijer® Recycled Playground Challenge

Colgate® is excited to partner with Meijer® and TerraCycle® to bring you the opportunity to win a playground and other recycled prizes for your school! To win, your school must be one of the top three (3) to earn the most Playground Credits by the end of the promotion.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY to enter or win. Open only to schools in the Colgate® Oral Care Recycling Program within MI, IL, IN, OH, KY, or WI. Void where prohibited. Starts April 5, 2020, at 9 a.m. PST and ends June 30, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. PST. Approximate retail value of all prizes is $95,400.

Playground Credits may be earned by voting and/or recycling used oral care products and packaging through the Colgate Oral Care Recycling Program. Each vote will count as one (1) Playground Credit and each unit of used oral care products and packaging received through this program will count as one (1) Playground Credit. Note: a "unit" is defined as 0.02 pounds of used, post-consumer oral care products and packaging. The school that earns the most Playground Credits during the contest period will win the grand prize.

If you have never recycled with Colgate

To start recycling for Playground Credits, follow the steps outlined on the Colgate Oral Care Recycling Program page. Encourage students and staff to bring in their oral care products and packaging to school for collection. Every unit of used oral care products and packaging received between April 5 and June 30 will count as one (1) Playground Credit for that school.

If you currently recycle with Colgate

Ship your used oral care products and packaging to TerraCycle as you normally would. You will earn one (1) Playground Credit for every unit of used oral care products and packaging recycled through the Colgate Oral Care Recycling Program. Encourage students and staff to bring in their oral care products and packaging to school for collection. All shipments received between April 5 and June 30 will count towards the contest.

And don’t forget, you can earn additional Playground Credits by voting for your school of choice once per day at the top of this page.

The top three (3) schools that have earned the most Playground Credits during the contest period will be able to choose a prize in the order of their ranking from the following:

• Playground equipment made from oral care products and packaging ($55,000 value)
• Alamo Playground made from oral care products and packaging ($34,500 value)
• Garden Bundle: 48 pieces of recycled plastic lumber made from oral care products and packaging (6-12 beds) and 2 flat benches ($5,000 value)

TerraCycle will work with the winning schools to coordinate the installation process and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The next six (6) schools that have earned the most Playground Credits during the contest period will be eligible to win Meijer gift cards valuing at $150 each.
