Once collected, the Lavazza coffee capsules are cleaned and separated by material type. The fibres and plastics are recycled into raw formats that manufacturers use to make new products. The aluminium capsules are shredded to separate the coffee ground from the aluminium. The aluminium is then melted in order to be remoulded to make new recycled products.
For 125 years, Lavazza has pursued a company vision based on passion for work, for the product and the land in which it operates. As part of their commitment to sustainability, Lavazza has partnered with TerraCycle to help you recycle their capsules, helping to preserve the environment for the future.
