Bring your recycling to the Salomon store participating in the pilot. It's free, and you won't need a TerraCycle account or shipping label.
How it works
We’ve made getting started with the Salomon In-Store Footwear Recycling Programme easy! Find a participating store near you and simply drop off your Salomon running, hiking shoes & sandals in the branded collection bin. The collected shoes will then be sent to us for recycling. For every pair recycled, Salomon donates 2 euros to the Salomon Foundation.*

It supports charities that enable disadvantaged communities to access mountain sports. It also provides assistance to outdoor sports professionals and their families in the event of an accident or illness.

Discover our recycling process
Footwear is size-reduced through shredding and grinding, then sorted into four categories: metals, textiles, mixed synthetic materials, and synthetic rubbers and foams. Metals are smelted for secondary manufacturing (e.g., sheeting, ingots, bar stock), textiles are used as filler via textile recycling, mixed synthetics are further size-reduced and used as filler in extruded products like composite lumber and sheeting, and synthetic foams and rubbers are recycled into flooring applications such as sports surfaces and industrial matting.
