TerraCycle recycles the unrecyclable—items not typically accepted by kerbside recycling services. You or your group can become a recycling champion for your community and keep rubbish out of landfills and incinerators. Plus, when you recycle with us, you earn TerraCycle Recycling Rewards—points that can be redeemed as a monetary donation to the school, charity, or nonprofit of your choice (including your own organisation).
To recycle on behalf of your community, be sure to indicate your Organisation Type (e.g.,School, Retail Store, Other) and estimate how many people you will be collecting recycling for under “# People Collecting” when you sign up.

TerraCycle has dozens of FREE recycling programmes for everything from snack packaging to beauty waste.
Any individual or group can recycle with TerraCycle on behalf of their community. Many nonprofits, local businesses, schools, and more recycle with us. Anyone who wants to make a difference in their community is invited to participate! Remember, it’s easy and completely FREE. (Hey, schools, we have special resources and incentives for you here!)

Holy Trinity church, in Gillingham, became a TerraCycle drop-off point in March 2018. Since then, they have joined a growing number of TerraCycle free recycling programmes to make recycling more accessible for everyone. “Caring for the environment is an important part of our work as we look to take care of our community, live an eco-friendly lifestyle, and educate young people”, they explained to us.

Thanks to their food truck, Anne-Laure and Emeric have raised more than 1,000 euros for @lueurdespoirpourayden, a charity that supports research on leukodystrophies and helps families of children with Krabbe’s disease. Through their food truck activity, they travel across France and collect various types of hard-to-recycle rubbish, from empty bread bags to empty applesauce pouches to coffee pods, which they send for free to TerraCycle to be recycled.

‘’What Planet Are You On?’’, isn’t just your typical store—it’s a zero waste refill shop located in Guisborough, North Yorkshire. As a TerraCycle public drop-off point, they collect a variety of items, from crisp tubes to bread wrappers and writing instruments, keeping hard-to-recycle rubbish out of landfills and incinerators.
You’re in charge. Recycle with TerraCycle in the way that makes sense for you, your group, or your organisation, whether it’s a one-time collection event, a public drop-off point, a community beach cleanup, or something else you come up with. It’s always free to recycle through our free recycling programmes.
Plan a recycling drive for items with a longer lifespan that people typically don’t need to recycle frequently, like your laundry care packaging, your personal care product packaging, and your plastic food storage containers. Consider hosting these regularly, such as quarterly, at public spaces like farmer’s markets, municipal buildings, or religious institutions.
Plan cleanup events to motivate your community members to pick up waste and beautify your neighborhoods, public spaces, and parks. To drum up participation, host cleanups on environmental holidays, like Earth Day and World Oceans Day.
