Get involved in the Colgate Community Garden Challenge

For the chance to win one of two (2) recycled community garden sets, New Zealand public and private pre-, primary, intermediate, special and secondary schools are invited to recycle oral care waste and earn online votes in the Colgate Community Garden Challenge. The more Garden Credits, the more chances to win! 

1 unit of oral care waste = 10 Garden Credits. 

1 online vote = 1 Garden Credit.

Grand Prizes

There are two (2) community garden sets up for grabs, each worth over $4,000! (Total grand prize value: $9,456). Each community garden set includes:

• One (1) recycled garden bed
• One (1) recycled bench with planter boxes
• One (1) recycled picnic table

The school which accrues the most Garden Points in total (based on the weight of the total amount of shipments & total number of votes) will win a recycled community garden set.

Schools will receive one entry in the final prize draw for sending in at least one (1) eligible shipment during the promotion period for the chance to win one recycled community garden set. 

Participants are only eligible to win one (1) community garden set. 

Monthly prizes

For each month of the competition, all schools that send a shipment of oral care waste to TerraCycle will receive 1 entry in the monthly prize draw for that month for the chance to win a prize pack of 60 Sprout Biocube pots to help get your new garden started, valued at $420 per pack! (Total prize value: $1,680).

Limit of one entry in the monthly prize draw per participant per month. Participants are eligible to win one (1) pack. 

Additionally, for any shipments of approved oral care waste over 5kg received by TerraCycle, schools will earn $0.02 per piece of waste to allocate to themselves or a nominated non-profit organisation.
