Important!

Recycling aerosol containers requires specific handling and shipping precautions. If you choose to participate in this program, you are required to read these instructions and use the Limited Quantity label provided in the "Resources" section of this page.

How it works

Participating is simple and free, but all participants must adhere to strict shipping requirements for this particular program.

  • Aerosols must be shipped through the Schwarzkopf® Aerosol Recycling Program; labels from other TerraCycle programs must not be used to ship these items.
  • Aerosols must be in their own box; do not include other products or packaging.
  • Individual aerosol containers cannot exceed one (1) liter in volume.
  • Aerosols must be contained by strong outer packaging, such as a double-walled box.
  • Maximum weight of a single filled box = 15 pounds
  • Maximum box volume of a shipping box = 24 inches x 24 inches x 18 inches
  • A “Limited quantity marking” sticker must be included on the exterior of the shipping box along with the shipping label. This label may be found in the "Resources" section below.
