Recycle all natural care products and packaging through this program.
TerraCycle® and Tom's of Maine have partnered to create a free recycling program for natural care products and packaging, as well as a fundraising opportunity for participants.
Tom's of Maine wants your help to green a school for the greater good! Ten schools are currently in the running for cash prizes to help fund their creative, green school projects. From now through October 17, help choose the winners by voting for your favorite project. Click here to cast your vote and learn more.
Also, while you wait for more slots to become available in this program or for more public drop-off locations to be registered, we encourage you to look at our Oral Care Waste and Packaging Zero Waste Box.
Each and every year, the products we use everyday to make our bodies clean, our teeth bright and shiny, and keep us smelling fresh, end up being thrown away after use and ultimately end up in a landfill. Together we can convert these would-be waste materials into fun and unique products!
Participating is completely free and very easy.
Program accepted waste: Mouthwash bottles and caps, deodorant containers and caps, toothpaste tubes and caps, soap packaging, floss containers, and toothbrushes
In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure all excess product has been removed (i.e. leftover toothpaste or extra floss). Additionally, if you choose to rinse your product, please note that it must be completely dry prior to shipping. You cannot ship dripping packages.
Once collected, the hygiene products are separated by composition. The separated items are then cleaned, shredded, and made into new recycled products. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.
TerraCycle points can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts, product bundles, or a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. To learn more about our points program, click here.
Caring for the environment is something Tom's of Maine® has been focused on since 1970. This value comes to life in the way they select ingredients, the manufacturing practices at their Sanford, Maine plant, and the packaging they use.
