Recycle your pet food packaging through this programme.
TerraCycle and Royal Canin have partnered to create a free recycling programme for pet food packaging.
You can now drop your pet food packaging off at selected vet clinics around New Zealand. To find a location to drop-off your pet food packaging, simply search the map below.
If you're a vet clinic that would like to participate, please fill out this form. If you are a non-vet Community Collection Hub, feel free to share your interest in collecting for this program at firstname.lastname@example.org
Participating is completely free and very easy.

Programme accepted waste: Dry pet food bags and wet pet food pouches. Please ensure the packaging is empty and clean before recycling.
Other brands of dry pet food bags and wet pet food pouches can also be recycled through this programme.
When dropping off at a vet clinic please ensure your waste is in a sealed plastic bag to help the hub manage smells and leaks.
Once collected, the pet food bags are cleaned and shredded. They are then melted down and pelletised to be recycled into new products. Click here for more information about our recycling process.
As thanks for your dedication to diverting waste from landfills, a $1 donation will be made to Blind Low Vision NZ for every kilogram of accepted waste sent through this programme.
