How it works

Participating is simple and free.

Once you have joined the program and are ready to send in a shipment, download a shipping label by clicking the green "Ship us your waste" box above and follow the prompts. Your shipping label will be emailed to your inbox. Print out your label and tape it securely onto your box then call UPS at 1-800-742-5877 to schedule a next-day pickup.

What you can recycle

All Babybel packaging (for all the different varieties and formats), such as cellophane, tag, net, metal clasps, wax, plastic wrappers and bag.

NOTE: Cardboard trays should be municipally recycled and not sent in through the program.

We encourage you to ship when your box is full of packaging to minimize the transportation carbon footprint for this program. You don’t need to clean the packaging before sending it to TerraCycle, but please remove as much of the remaining product as possible. UPS will not accept dripping packages, so please make sure your items are dry.

What happens to your recyclables

Once collected, the packaging is cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products, such as park benches and picnic tables. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.

Shipments in the Babybel Recycling Program can be any weight to earn points, and 100 points per pound will be awarded.

Awarded TerraCycle points can be allocated toward a variety of charitable gifts or redeemed as a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. Each piece of packaging sent in will earn approximately 0.99TerraCycle points and will be counted based on an average unit weight of 4.5 grams.
