Recycle Biotrue® ONEday and other Bausch + Lomb brand contact lenses and blister packs through this program.
TerraCycle and Bausch + Lomb have partnered to create a free recycling program for Biotrue® ONEday contact lenses and blister packs, as well as lenses and packs from other Bausch + Lomb brands.
Eye care offices in your community are recycling contact lenses and blister packs. Look at the map below to see if there’s a location near you that’s participating.
Participating is completely free and very easy. Simply search the map above to find a participating eye care office in your area.
Program accepted waste: Biotrue® ONEday brand contact lenses and blister packs, as well as other Bausch + Lomb brand contact lenses and blister packs. We will also accept contact lenses and blister packs from all brands.
Please note: Biotrue® ONEday and other Bausch + Lomb brand cardboard boxes are recyclable through regular municipal recycling. Please do not include them in your shipments through this program.
To recycle this waste stream properly, please do not include any Biotrue® ONEday or other Bausch + Lomb brand cardboard boxes in your collections, as these are recyclable through your regular municipal recycling service.
Once received, the contact lenses and blister packs are separated by composition and cleaned. The metal layers of the blister packs are recycled separately, while the contact lenses and plastic blister pack components are melted into plastic that can be remolded to make recycled products.
