How it works

To start recycling, sign up for the My Brita program on Brita.com. Membership is free and you can earn Brita reward points while helping the environment.

Simply complete the form to get your free shipping label and mail your used Brita products to TerraCycle.

Send at least 5 lb of Brita products with each shipment to reduce landfill waste and greenhouse emissions at the same time!

What you can recycle

All Brita filters, pitchers, dispensers, bottles, faucet systems, and packaging

Best practices for recycling

  • Ship 5 lb of Brita products or more to reduce the environmental impacts of transportation from this recycling program.
  • Ensure products and packaging are completely dry prior to shipping. UPS will not accept dripping packages.
  • Please do not include cardboard and paper box packaging with your shipments, as these can be recycled municipally.

What happens to the waste

Once collected, the Brita® products and packaging are separated by composition and shredded to make new recycled products. The carbon filters are separated for use in polymers. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.
