Recycle Brita® packaging through this program.
TerraCycle® and Brita® have partnered to create a free recycling program for Brita® pitchers, dispensers, bottles, faucet systems, all filters, and filter packaging, as well as a fundraising opportunity for participants. Give all of your old Brita® products a new life and feel good about refreshing your pitcher, bottle, or any Brita® product!
As of March 1, 2017, your shipments must weigh at least 5 lbs. to earn TerraCycle points through the Brita® Recycling Program. Larger shipments help reduce fuel costs and create a smaller impact on the planet. It's just one more way we can make this program even better for the environment.
Participating is completely free and very easy.
Program accepted waste: Brita® dispensers, Brita® Bottles, Brita® Bottle Filters, Brita® Standard Filters, Brita® Stream Filters, Brita® Longlast Filters, Brita® filter packaging, Brita® faucet filtration systems, and Brita® pitchers
In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure the products and packaging are completely dry prior to shipping. You cannot ship dripping packages.
Once collected, the Brita® products and packaging are separated by composition and shredded to make new recycled products. The carbon filters are separated for use in polymers. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.
TerraCycle points can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts, product bundles, or a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. To learn more about our points program, click here.
By drinking filtered water, we can reduce the amount of plastic bottles that ends up in landfills and oceans. In fact, every Brita® filter used means 300 standard 16.9 oz plastic bottles saved. And since that's not enough, Brita® has teamed up with TerraCycle to recycle their already eco-friendly products and packaging.
