Recycle baby food packaging and small and large hook Gerber baby clothing hangers through this program.
Gerber® believes the baby food industry should help create a world where babies thrive. Now, you can recycle baby food packaging and small and large hook Gerber baby clothing hangers with the opportunity to fundraise for charity with the national recycling program powered by TerraCycle® and Gerber®.
Participating is simple and free.
Baby food packaging, such as flexible or rigid plastic packaging, shrink labels, plastic containers, plastic lids, flexible plastic pouches, and small and large hook Gerber baby clothing hangers
NOTE: Please do not send in any glass, basic #1 and #2 plastics (such as plastic lids and containers), aluminum, or any other municipally recyclable packaging unless you are unable to find local recycling solutions.
Once collected, the baby food packaging and small and large hook Gerber baby clothing hangers are cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products, such as park benches and picnic tables. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.
Shipments in the Gerber® Recycling Program must be at least 5 pounds to earn TerraCycle points. For all qualifying shipments, 100 points per pound will be awarded.
Awarded TerraCycle points can be allocated toward a variety of charitable gifts or redeemed as a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. Each piece of baby food packaging sent in will earn approximately 4.00 TerraCycle points and will be counted based on an average unit weight of 0.04 pounds.
