Participating is simple and free.
If there isn’t a local Yankee Candle® store near you, join this program and download a free shipping label to send your collections to TerraCycle.
All Newell Brands’ home fragrance products from Yankee Candle®, WoodWick®, and Chesapeake Bay Candle®, including: candles, wax melts and melt cups, diffusers and refills, plug-ins and refills, room sprays, fragrance beads, and auto air fresheners and refills.
NOTE: This program only accepts room sprays 1.5 ounces and under. Please do not send in paper or cardboard product packaging that can be recycled curbside.
Once collected, the home fragrance products are cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.
Shipments in this program must be 15 pounds in order to receive points. For shipments over 15 pounds, 100 points per pound will be awarded.
TerraCycle points can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts or a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. Each piece of home fragrance product and packaging from any brand you send in will earn you about 115 TerraCycle points. All brands of home fragrance products and packaging will be counted based on an average unit weight of 1.15 pounds.
